SHIPPEN MANOR LAWN CONCERTS YET ANOTHER NICE SUMMER SUNDAY CONCERT SERIES IN SWEET & SUNNY DOWNTOWN OXFORD
CAJUN ACES AT SHIPPEN MANOR MARDI GRAS The Cajun Aces will bring good Mardi Gras dance grooves to the concert crowd at Oxford. This concert is sponsored by the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission on the Shippen Manor lawn in Oxford, just west of the Route 31 traffic light. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, alcohol free coolers, picnic baskets, and significant others for an opportunity to soak up Cajun and Zydeco sounds of the Cajun Aces. Making people dance and providing a Mardi Gras atmosphere for a good time is what the Cajun Aces do best. By transforming old recordings of both Cajun and Creole styles, new material emerges influencing the Cajun Aces own original material. The Cajun Aces will feature: KD Hoffman, accordion and vocals; Susan Donoghue, fiddle and vocals; Joanne Hill, double bass; Patty Reuteman, guitar; and Charlie Shaw, drums. he Cajun Aces have performed at: Arn and Gerry's Dancethon, Warren, NJ; Bayou Fest at Duke Island Park, Bridgewater, NJ; Chaplin's, the music café. In Spring City, PA; Creekside Cultural Center, Lenhartsville, PA; The Doylestown Artsfest, Doylestown, PA; Decafe Cafe, music series, Moorestown, NJ; the Gwyneed Coffeehouse, Gwyneed, PA; Harvest Fest, Hopewell, NJ; and the Mermaid Inn, Philadelphia, PA. This concert is sponsored by the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission, supported by the Warren County Freeholders, and funded in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
