YET ANOTHER NICE SUMMER SUNDAY CONCERT SERIES IN SWEET & SUNNY DOWNTOWN OXFORD

 

DIRDY BIRDIES ON THE LAWN AT SHIPPEN MANOR

Our free Dirdy Birdies Iconoclastic Jug Band concert will take place on the Shippen Manor lawn. in Oxford, just west of the Route 31 traffic light. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, alcohol free coolers, picnic baskets, and your significant others for a free concert.

Founded in the spring of 1965, the Dirdy Birdies played New York City's coffee house and stage venues for several years. In 1968 they won Cousin Brucie's WABC Radio Big Break contest.

Shippen Manor is located just west of the Route 31 traffic light in sweet and sunny downtown Oxford. The free concerts are sponsored by the Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission, the Warren County Freeholders, and funded in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
