Email: fireback@fiddleboy.net; Telephone: 908-892-2441; For more information, visit our website: http://www.fiddleboy.net/fireback.html#contact ANNUAL FIREBACK FIDDLE & BANJO CONTEST & FREE CONCERTS at SHIPPEN MANOR, 12 NOON The Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission is pleased to present its Twelfth Annual Fireback Fiddle & Banjo Contest on the Shippen Manor Lawn, in Oxford, NJ at 12 noon rain or shine. 2010 Contest Prizes: The Warren County Fireback Fiddle & Banjo contestants come from throughout the region, including metropolitan New York and Philadelphia. Prize money will be $300, $200, and $100 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners respectively in each of the following categories: Old-Time fiddle, Bluegrass fiddle, Celtic fiddle, Finger style banjo, and Claw hammer banjo. Fiddlers High School age and younger have the option of competing in a separate Junior category that offers $100 for 1st prize, $75 for 2nd prize, and $50 for 3rd prize. This contest is free and open to the public. The grounds are reasonably accessible and accessible facilities are provided. This event is presented by the Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission, with support from the Warren County Freeholders, and funded in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/ Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
